Bryn Terfel, a Welsh bass-baritone, is six feet and four inches tall! It's hard to imagine that a huge guy can have such a tender and emotional vioce !
By the way, there are Uilleann Pipes, not bagpipes. Sadly that the lead vocal of The Statler Brothers died young !
